The coffee beans here are processed with the washed method that creates and soft and balanced sensory profile. The coffees from Bugoyi are always surprising, as the washing station is blessed with gentle winds and gentle sunlight to dry the coffee slowly and evenly.

Where’s it from

This coffee comes from the Baho Coffee company, which owns and manages 10 washing stations throughout Rwanda, located in different cultivation regions with unique microclimatic characteristics, as well as two in Burundi. The founder, Rusatira Emmanuel, studied agricultural engineering and rural development at university. After graduation, he spent 12 years working for a multinational coffee exporter in Rwanda, and founded Baho in 2017, driven by a passion to empower small producers. In Kinyarwanda, the official language of Rwanda, "baho" means "be strong" and "never give up", an approach that perfectly aligns with the lifestyle and history of its founder.
